This tutorial was written using PSP7, but can probably be done in earlier versions with a few adjustments.

** Remember to save your work often! **

The image I used here is called "Cherished Moments" by Paula Vaughn.  I'm very proud to say that Ms. Vaughn has given me permission to use her works in my tutorials.  To see more of her beautiful work, visit her website HERE.

1. Open a new transparent image 300 x 350.  Flood fill using #B4A56E.

2. Go to Selections - Select All.  Then Selections - Modify - Contract by 25.

3. Hit Delete on your keyboard.  Now Selections - Invert.  You will now have this:

4. Go to Effects - Plugin Filters - Flaming Pear - Blade Pro.  Click where I have indicated in the screen shot below.  Browse to your Plug-ins folder; find the Blade Pro - Environments and Textures and choose "gold_shiny.q9q".  You can use these settings, or play around with them until you have something you like.  Click OK.

5. Selections - Select None.

6. Now open the corners font that was in the zip file.  You do not have to install this; as long as it is open, it will work.  Now go back to psp.

7. Open a new transparent image 100 x 100.  Using your text tool , click inside the new image.  Find "cornrs" in the drop down menu.  I used the small letter "e" with these settings:

8. Apply Blade Pro to the corner using the same settings as before.

9. Go to Effects - 3D Effects - Drop Shadow and use these settings:

Color Black
Opacity 50
Blur 2
Horizontal and Vertical 1.

10. Go to Edit - Copy.  Now activate your frame.  Go to Edit - Paste as New Selection.  Move the selection to the upper left corner.  Selections - Select None.  Again Edit - Paste as New Selection.  Now Image - Flip and place this one in the bottom left corner.  Selections - Select None.  Edit - Paste as New Selection.  Now Image - Mirror and place in the top right corner.  Selections - Select None.  Edit - Paste as New Selection.  This time Image - Mirror, then Image - Flip and move to the bottom right corner.  Selections - Select None.

11. Your image is now ready to be exported as a tube (File - Export - Picture Tube) or saved as a .pfr (picture frame) in your PSP/Frames folder.

Here is our finished frame (yours will have a transparent background).
