Eye Candy Swirl Background

This tutorial was written using PSP7, but can probably be done in earlier versions with a few adjustments.

** Remember to save your work often! **

1. Open a new transparent image 300 x 300.  Set your foreground color to a light color of your choice and Flood Fill .

2. Go to Effects - Noise - Add 10% Uniform.

3. Go to Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy - Swirl and select Halva from the drop-down list.  Use the default settings:

4. Go to Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy - Jiggle and use these settings:

5. Add a new layer and flood fill with White.  Move the slider on this layer in your Layer Palette and lower the opacity to around 30, depending on how light you want it.

6. Layers - Merge - Merge All (Flatten).  Go to Effects - Sharpen - Sharpen.

7. Using your selections tool set to Rectange - Antialias Unchecked, place your cursor at coordinates 100,100 and drag to 200,200 .  Go to Selections - Convert to Seamless Pattern (a new image will open).  Sharpen this image once and your background is ready to use.
