Weave Frame
This tutorial was written using PSP7, but can probably be done in earlier versions with a few adjustments.
** Remember to save your work often! **
1. Open the image you wish to frame. I am using an image called "Grandma's Bible Quilts" by Paula Vaughn. I'm very proud to say that Ms. Vaughn has given me permission to use her works in my tutorials. To see more of her beautiful work, visit her website HERE.
2. Choose a color from your image and make this your background color.
3. Go to Image - Add - Borders. Then make sure Symmetric is checked and 6 is in all of the boxes. Click OK.
4. Using your magic wand  , Tolerence and Feather set to 0 and Sample Merged UNchecked, click on the new border.
5. Go to Selections - Invert. Go to Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout and use these settings:
Opacity 65
Blur 20
Vertical and Horizontal 2.
6. Repeat the Cutout but change the Vertical and Horizontal to -2. Selections - Select None.
7. Go to Effects - Plug-in Filters - NVR BorderMania - Frame 2 and use these settings:
Border Width 6
Frame Width 6
Highlight Intensity 110
Shadow Intensity 130
Notch Corners checked
8. Go to Selections - Select All. Then Selections - Modify - Contract by 1. Then Image - Crop to Selection.
9. Add another border using the same settings as before. Repeat the NVR BorderMania.
10. Go to Selections - Select All. Then Selections - Modify - Contract by 1. Then Image - Crop to Selection.
11. Repeat steps 8 and 9. This is what you should have now:
12. Add another border - this time 20px. Use your Magic Wand to select the new border. Go to Effects - Texture Effects - Weave. These are the settings I used, but you can play around with them.
Gap Size 2
Width 10
Opacity 100
Weave Color Black
Gap Color Black
Fill Gaps checked
13. Selections - Select None. Add another border of 6px. Repeat the NVR BorderMania using the same settings as before.
